A New Masjid for Kimberley's CBD
A church was bought, Alhamdulillah, with the help of generous donors. Salaah has already started, with a dedicated Imam.
Empowerment ProjectsThe Lemon Project
Kimberley loses thousands of lemons to waste every season. Grown out of Miftahuddin's Sour Lemon skills programme, The Lemon Project shares free, practical guides for using them — in the kitchen, for cleaning, in the garden and beyond — one household at a time.

An Institute Built on Three Pillars
Miftahuddin Islamic Institute is a Kimberley-based Islamic organisation whose name — meaning "Key of the Deen" — reflects its mission: to unlock knowledge, compassion and faith for the communities it serves. Through a growing network of Makaatib, Masaajid and welfare programmes reaching across the Northern Cape and into the Free State, Miftahuddin exists to preserve Islamic identity, uplift the vulnerable and strengthen the bonds of community.
Our Foundation
Ta'leem, Social Welfare & Tableegh
Ta'leem
Education
A network of Makaatib safeguards the Islamic identity of children from their earliest years, connecting them to the Deen through structured Qur'anic and Islamic education.
Social Welfare
Khidmah
From feeding schemes to bursaries and prison outreach, Miftahuddin's welfare work is an expression of Imaan — rooted in the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, who showed us compassion and justice for those in need.
Tableegh
Outreach
Miftahuddin strengthens Ukhuwwah within the community by means of Dawah and Tableegh, showing the qualities of Islam to others — Tableegh and Jamaat to Muslims, Dawah to non-Muslims — striving always to strengthen our Ukhuwwah and our Imaan and obedience to Allah Ta'ala.
